Any chance of getting the preview to work too? Either that, or replace the entire theme/visual style choosers with a new one. I would like to see:
  • All themes grouped by author. If the author isn't known, group them into "Unknown Authors".
  • When known, provide a link to contact the author and/or visit their homepage.
  • When possible (like the theme comes inside a zip with a custom extension), offer to periodically check for updates. This would be like XPI files in Firefox.

This isn't a program. All this does is patches some files so that Vista shows the correct names of Visual Styles. All of your suggestions are only possible through third party programs.

I know that. But I wanted to express what I would rather see (compared to what Windows itself offers) by someone's program.

As for the previews, it should work as long as your uxtheme etc. is patched properly.

It's not. The preview does reflect the information in the classic appearance area (the part we've had since 95), but otherwise does nothing.

In Vista, it does show the preview of the non-aero version of the theme.

AT LAST!!
I'm tired of moving the styles I'm not using at the time to another folder in order to find quickly the one I want.
