This video has all you need to know about the new operating system. Microsoft uses the video to describe the key features of Windows 8, including the Start Screen, the Charms bar, live tiles, the new search feature, and many other improvements, most of which are going to be offered in Windows 8.1 as well.

Microsoft releases Switch to Windows Phone app for Android users on Google Play which checks how many of your Android apps are available on Windows Phone and save your results so you can retrieve them later on your new Windows Phone and install the apps.

The app has been bombard with 1 star rating by Google Play users because "people want to know which apps will work with Windows Phone 8. A simple percentage is useless unless users are told which apps can also be found on Windows Phone 8", one of the reviewers posted.
