this is a wicked background....

I installed windows 7 as my main OS. that means to C drive. I want to dual boot it with XP. But whn I install Xp into another partition(Lets Say F:) the boot information does not appear when starting.

Initially when I install XP it straight away boot to XP. When I put the Win 7 DVD and recover start up it straight away boot to Win 7.

Can anybody help me on this problem.

I left XP as my Main O/S on C: and installed 7 on to my D: partition and after the install the boot info appeared automatically.

maybe you can try that... re-install XP as your main, and place 7 on your partition
