Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View (Tab) -> Always show icons, never thumbnails (First checkbox). I hope that helps  :) .

This untitled Halo project was announced with Halo Wars on a Bungie weekly update a long time ago, and 1UP only mentions it now?

I doubt Halo will ever show up on another console, seeing as Microsoft owns the rights to Halo titles, but that doesn't rule out any PC development.
