In Topic: I need a touchscreen light-gaming laptop

Old post but Tygr what was you final decision?
I have the identical requirements except I'm looking for an i7.
My CPU does alot outside of gaming.

I went with a Lenovo X201 Tablet with the 2.13Ghz i7. It was about $2200 before tax and shipping, but it's a BOSS for playing games, considering it's a 12.1". It also has a multi-touch pen-compatible Wacom tablet screen, which is ideal for finger usage as well as with a wacom stylus for digital art. It also has an open interior slot and antenna connector for a Qualcomm Gobi 2000 WiMax/3G card, which you will probably have to install yourself, but it's compatible with all major wireless data providers.

As far as gaming performance, it handles Halo 2 and Orange Box games with relative ease. It gets a bit hot, and excessive effects cause it to stutter, but nothing major. I'm planning on  buying MW2 just to see if it'll work.

If you have the money, it's WELL worth it, as it combines the tablet with the light gaming machine perfectly.

In Topic: Hardware Requirements of WoW vs. Halo

The laptop I'm ordering can play Wow decently, so my question is how do the demands of WoW compare to Halo 1 and 2 on low quality?

Whats the GPU on your laptop? I'd say 'aquire' a version of halo 2. Try it, if it runs well buy the real thing.

My Radeon 4650 in my laptop maxes halo 2 and TF2 easy. So I would assume they're of comparable requirements (correct me if I'm wrong)

The Lenovo X201 Tablet that I'm going to get has a GMA 4500HD integrated graphics card. My old computer has an ATI Radeon XPress 1150 integrated graphics card, and it plays Halo 1 on lowest quality with relative ease. Don't know about Halo 2, as it has XP.

the gma can handle cod4 fairly well, can your current come close?

I don't have COD, but mine can handle Halo CE at lowest quality pretty well, but not at all at higher qualities.

Never heard of hte xpress 1150, I'll have to research that, I'll get back to you on that

This is gaming performance with the xpress 1150, it'll be a less than stellar experience

Theres some games run with the GMA 4500 here:

I'm still looking for half life performance for the gma, since the Orange Box performance is mainly what your looking for....

My current laptop has an Xpress 1150, so I just need to know if the x201 will perform the same or better.
