I don't have XP, I have 7 installed, do not have youtube vids open. 5-6 tabs of winmatrix, cnet, lifehacker, softpedia, downloadsquad will just about crash it instantly. All the plug-ins I have are updated. And it's not a memory issue as I have 2 gigs of RAM, that should be enough to browse the web. The 6 months re-install thing I do out of boredom
Dude, my PC is clean as can ever be. I do regular maintenance. Re-install windows every 6 months. No viruses, spyware, rootkits or anything on it. Chrome crashes on me even on a fresh Windows install. Even if it's the first thing I install, it crashes. Try googling the crashing issue and you'll see I'm not alone.
Google Chrome, even the developer and canary builds, don't ever crash for me. Dude, clean up your PC.
I loved Chrome when it came out, but since version 3 it has gone to hell. Crashes everytime I use it, I open 5 tabs it crashes. I hate it. Instead of working on the speed which is more than enough, google should start work on stability. Seriously, Opera wins hands down in terms of speed + stability.
On topic: I love the updated look of google chrome, but the menus are a little too over-simplified for my liking. Ah well, at least it is better than having the cluttered toolbars like in Firefox and other browsers. Oh, and the new "New Tab" page feels alot faster.
Like _akier_ said, google is bad with the flash and videos and stuff - usually crashes when I have many youtube videos open or something, or it may just be your computer - xp is kinda outdated, and you really shouldn't need to re-install windows every 6 months, especially if you have Windows 7
@Villain: I don't even have a single extension installed. It just hates me or something.
