Dropbox 2.0 brings new notification center

13 March 2013 - 02:48 PM

Dropbox 2.0 is available to download. The biggest change in version 2.0 of Dropbox is a brand new style for the system tray menu in Windows version and a new drop down menu in Mac OS X version.

Dropbox now features a live timeline of updates to your Dropbox, including sharing requests from other users. Think of it as a mini Notification Center, just for your Dropbox: You can quickly see what files have been updated and when. Click on any of the files, and you’ll be taken right to it in your Dropbox folder; you can even accept or decline sharing requests from the menu itself.

Firefox to block all the plugins by default!

01 February 2013 - 08:25 PM

Mozilla is changing the way Firefox loads third party plugins such as Flash, Java and Silverlight for increasing performance and stability.

Web content in the upcoming versions of Firefox will look like this:

Previously Firefox would automatically load any plugin requested by a website. Leveraging Click to Play Firefox will only load plugins when a user takes the action of clicking to make a particular plugin play or the user has previously configured Click To Play to always run plugins on the particular website.
