XP Start Buttons on Vista VS

How would I go about taking a start button from a XP Visual style and putting it in a Vista Visual Style? I tried extracting the resource using reshack but when I tried to replace it in a vista VS it doesn't allow me...

I hope this makes sense...   :huh:
