;) welll, I'm sure Shannon Elizabeth helped a little... Aside from her though, that screenshot is of a plain XP system with no other fancy features other than dotWidget and a little app of mine that hides the desktop icons (makes for a nicer screenshot).  This is also a bone-fide screen capture; not a mock-up or a photoshop cut'n'paste... :)

Thanks for the support all!   :D

As a taster of what's to come, here's how the latest R1.0 is shaping up.  Note the spanking new clock (thanks to FutureMillennium, who's working on giving all the widgets a uniform look), a new battery widget (graphics courtesy of JyriK) and - finally - a google search widget with integrated textbox!

No worries!  Will you try it out when it's released?

seiko: the 'countdown commencing' refers to R1.0, which is due out soon although no formal release date has been set (hence why we're using the time to look for some beta testers), you can still download the latest stable release here: http://www.k23produc...ucts/dotWidget/  ;)

Seventh surfer: noted and understood - we're going to have to run fast to keep up with either of those two awesome products; how well we do will be mainly down to us, but also to new users giving us the benefit of the doubt!  :P

dotWidget!! :)

+ Works fine on Windows 2000
+ No .net requirement
+ Small download (~3MB)
+ Small memory footprint (~10MB)
+ Single process
+ Lots of useful widgets
+ Easily configurable
+ Unique 'gripper' feature
+ Open Source
+ Freeware
