RC1 available for Public download now.
Windows Vista RC1 is available for participants of the Windows Vista Customer Preview Program. Please go to the Customer Preview Program website to register and receive a Product Key, which is required to install and activate the software. :D

yea i installed the 64bit version of rc1
but its no diverent from the 32bit version
can someone tell me what does change when u install a 64bit OS
i cant see much change
exept i have 2 program files now lol :lol:

sweet but i have already installed it from the first rels and it works and installs so smooth i can't wait for all the software companys to update their programs to run on vista

i uninstalled the beta some time ago, i lost the key ;( can anyone email me a key? u cna use the same key for 10 pcs, someone help me plz, im downloading it right now, just need the key, if u can help me, just send me a pm, thnx

If you are not registered but would like to receive Windows Vista RC1, the CPP will open to new participants in the coming weeks. Please check this site periodically for updates.

:ph34r: if people are worried about the bugs and safety risks of vista there’s a program called VMware Workstation you can install any OS on it and not have to get rid of your current OS.

I didn't think it would be ready this year, but Microsoft has proven me wrong. I still think it should release in Janurary, but oh well. Whenever Microsoft plans to release it, I'm going and buying.

im not goin 2 buy it stright away there be to many bugs wait a year or so then Microsoft atleast sorted out some of em

thoosje, according to windows vista's review windows vista 64bit edition has alot of hardware problems...

I have a question...

How long does the RC1 remain active?? Wouldn't Microsoft shut it down before the release of Vista so people have to buy it? How does that work, exactly? I know they aren't just going to let people have this free download and lose their sales on Vista.
