DirectX 10 is exclusive to Windows Vista and is not slated to be supported by any other platform. This will ensure that the next-gen games will be available on Windows Vista before any other platform.

So how much better DirectX 10 is in comparison to DirectX 9, check these screenshots for blowing your mind :D

What graphics card do you need at minimum to get these effects?

512MB + right?

My friend here thinks his 512MB graphics wont be enough, they are... right?

It doesn't matter whether it is 128MB or 512MB. That must be compatible with DirectX 10.

Btw, no DirectX 10 card is yet available in the market.

RAM is mostly irrelevant when it comes to graphics cards; the primary performance determinator is the power of the chip.

LOL! I think it's just you. Dx10 is waayyy better! Open up your eyes and look. The water waves, the sky, sun rays beaming on the mountain and mountain shading is awesome in 10.

Schedule a meeting with your eye doctor buddy.

This is it. All the best PCs (Portable Computers) in the markets will become like every time a new wave of next-gen hits, they will become PCs. (Pieces of Crap)

I bet all the prices are going to drop for the high end computers today when Vista comes out.

Why do we need Consoles again?

:P

EDIT: Wait, whats the next-gen version of OpenGL?

It might be better than X10...

...because some games are exclusive to consoles, and it's portable as well.

Endrit, who the f**k cares about OpenGL right now man. Well maybe some, but we are talking about DX10, not OpenGL.
