Not anymore. At the moment im on my laptop and on my main computer i have a optical mouse so theres no need.

Well it depends on the surface you are on. Like let's say laptop users on a kitchen table that hav a separate mouse, obviously they need it.

But for regular PC users that have a smooth tracking mouse, there's no need for it. Like me! :P

Mousepad is useless for optical mouse.

i'm using optical mouse... and hence found no difference with and without pad..so not using...:)

I still like the mouse, and do not give a damn who likes me saying that I use one or not.

For me, i still need a mouse pad for my opticle mouse, when i dont use a mouse pad, the cursor stutters/skips.

If you use good optical mouse, cursor doesn't stutter on any surface.

i just never got rid of my mousepad, i have an optical mouse, but never took the time to put the mousepad away. And my parents would put it back anyways.

Don't use 'em or need 'em. I have the Microsoft Optical Trackball.
