Opera - Simply the Best Internet Experience
When I first become obsessed with the Internet, technology, MSN Messenger and several other things of little relevance, the first browser I used was Internet Explorer. Which, in my honest opinion lacked what I needed to efficiently and "correctly" use the Internet. As a result, I went on a browser hunt. On this browser hunt, I found a number of worthy candidates. Avant Browswer, MyIE2, Mozilla FireFox (read: Recommended: Mozilla Firefox) and then I came upon Opera.
This browser undoubtedly surpassed all other browsers, in my opinion. It had and still has everything I need. Opera has it all (which some may call bloat, and it's true, it could be considered bloat). Opera has:
- A popup blocker ~ it's blocked most, if not all my popups so far
- A MDI or SDI interface, depending on what you'd like.
- As far as I'm concerned, it's fully customisable
- A nice download manager
- Integrated mail client
- Nice default skin
- Unique site rendering engine
- Integrated RSS viewer
- shortcuts to search certain search engines and you can add your own
- Available for Mac, Linux and Windows
- Different styles of viewing: seeing the site as the author wants you to, or limiting elements shown../adding elements...
- Minimise to systray (currently in Opera 7.50 Preview 6)
- Integrated WML viewer
- Integrated IRC client and a lot more!
As you can see, it has EVERYTHING , unfourtunately that comes at a price. $39 USD. You can use Opera for free with some ads showing, either random ads or Google AdSense ads.
Who knows, try it, maybe you'll like it and want to buy it =).

Still not sure what browser to use as an alternative to Internet Explorer?
Well there are plently out there, but I'm going start off by recommending Mozilla Firefox. This browser is one of the popular because it is Open-Source. Open-Source meaning if you're programming savvy you could go ahead and grab the code, modify to your liking and compile. Another attributing factor would be that Mozilla Firefox is one of the few browsers out there that use their own engine of course there are others out there that use their own engine, but the chances of those being FREE AND Open-Source are very slim.
That's right Mozilla Firefox is FREE and Open-Source.

Still, in my unbiased opinion, I strongly prefer Opera over FireFox for my own reasons.
