If you want a fast connection, use GetRight Download Manager. I downloaded it a 600 KB. It took me 1 hour and 30 mins. :)

Anyone install this build with daemon tools?

I too don't want to burn the disk. Is the installation possible with a Virtual drive?

I highly recommend you DO NOT USE this as your main Operating System. It is made for the public to have a taste of what is to come. It is in my opinion not stable enough yet to "only" use Vista. It's great as a secondary and seeing the neat features. But do yourself a favor ans don't use this as your main OS.

I'm using Windows Vista right now and it puts XP in it's shadow. Alot of crap was going around the internet about it and all is not true. Windows Vista is a great step up in the right direction. Don't use it as a main yet(Knowing I'll be using this more than XP!). Give it a try :)

I just downloaded the 64bit edition, and it says when I mount it to run it that it is not a valid win "32" application?
Does this mean my amd athlon 64 cant run the 64 bit? I should get 32?

Please i need help in installing windows vista Beta 2 .

I tried the following :

1- Setup from a DVD from windows i get this message :"The application or DLL
K:\Source\SPWIZENG.DLL is not a valid windows image. Please check this
against your installation diskette" then after pressing "OK" i get the
following message"The file 'autorun.dll" could not be loaded or is corrupt.
Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0xC1]"

2- Tried setup by booting the DVD, the setup starts, i add the serial number
provided by microsoft , then i get theat image file is corrupt.

3- Checked the CRC of the ISO file everything is fine.

4- tried to install using virtual DVD, same problem.

P.S: the vista beta ISO download size = 2.68 GB when extracted = 3.15 GB

Thank you :)

OK - downloaded it again from the same location but this time the file size is 2.72gb, size on DVD is 3.12gb

I used Alcohol 120% to burn the image file (using the Image Burning Wizard) at 2x speed (as recommended by MS) but i still get the same errors as before (ie detailed above) - it won't autorun so when i click on the Set up icon i just get error sayings its not a valid image - what am i doing wrong???
