Why do some of my CD writes fail even though I'm using the correct CD-Rs and burning them within the speed range?
I have lost many CDs till now please help me :(

If you have connected your CD-RW drive on the same channel as your hard disk or an existing CD-ROM drive, you would be putting a strain on the CD writing process if you run other programs while a CD-R is being written. You should configure the CD-RW drive to run as a master device on a different IDE channel and not have any other devices on that channel. This would ensure that the data stream being sent to the CD-RW is not disturbed during the write process-a critical aspect of writing a CD correctly. Try not to run any other applications while a CD-R is being written, especially at higher speeds. Also, remember to enable any form of buffer underrun protection that your CD-RW may feature.
