Then more people found out about Macs and the applications you can run on them. They only good one imo is Adium which has basically been ported to Windows with Miranda.

Miranda is nowhere close to Adium X.

Mr. Dark, do you own a Mac computer?
I do and I know extremly well what I am talking about.

Everyone says that they buy Macs for their style. Then then find out that the can`t play games or run their favorite applications on Windows.

I use Macs for one thing, well two but the second thing doesn`t really matter.

Microsoft is better because they are more successful and it is true!
Only some public schools and enterprises used Macs until the iPod came out and it increased their sales by a longshot. Then more people found out about Macs and the applications you can run on them. They only good one imo is Adium which has basically been ported to Windows with Miranda. Microsoft has been this way for years and will be.

If you are reffering to me (Darth Facehead) then yes, I do have a Mac. I have two questions for you: One, how can you own a Mac and not like it? Maybe you have an old one and have not used Mac OS X. And two, I see you have restated your opinion about being more successful = better quality products, but you have not said why you think this.

About the schools, they tend to use whatever computers they can get good deals on.

Windows XP is perfect to me, as Windows always was...I am always trying to install and use other OS, like Linux and older versions of Windows, but I just can't use them anymore, I am so much pleased with XP that I can't stand the others, although I am always trying, just for the sake of discovering different things.

VISTA is a perfect official name. Just perfect. It means "view" or "sight" in portuguese, like in almost any other Latin language. And the former Longhorn is an exciting successor of Windows XP. I already have had some experience with it on alpha builds, and I'm really excited with the next beta version (anyone already have it? I want it!!).

Now that Apple has turned its eyes to Intel processors plataform, I think we will finally have the chance to try MacOS natively on our machines. And I suppose that this will show that the Apple OS is no better than Windows. People will discover that when an OS is manufactured to fit on a really huge amount of hardware variety (like Windows) and is not made to fit an exact never-changing-hardware (like MacOS was made up to this point), we will ALWAYS (I mean, ETERNALLY) have problems. It would not be computing if we did not have problems.

Let's just wait and see Apple trying to follow Microsoft's path and Microsoft, again, succeding on its aims (if MacOS's new-Intel-PCs-future does not surprises us).

Well, the only boring thing here is: a new Windows, SO we will have to crack things up from the very start: tweaks AND, that will be really boring, THEMES (including boot and login screens). That will be a job to be done!

Windows Vista is a r8 and correct name..... as its name - it is going to have everything like that - an example - it has an option to have a preview of a document as its icon instead having a generic icon. there is more like this which really make sense to get that/have that name...... it's perfect and best

and as Jatin mentioned - beginning it will be hard to take up any new things .... and later.. sure...

:)
