The Miranda Stuff File link is dead. Can this be updated? I can't seem to find tweakui.dll anywhere.

Thanks!

Installing Visual Styles is a bit trickier. Once you have the UxTheme patcher installed and the themes you want downloaded, you will need to drag them to the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes Make sure you have dragged both the theme (if there is one) and its entire respective folder containing the .msstyles file, or else it will not work! Then you can apply the theme from the Display control panel.

That doesnt work ? :/

i replied to the same question in your thread, if you do have stylexp or uxtheme patcher, then make sure the folder's name is the same as the msstyles name, and that the msstyles file is placed directly into the folder (and not a subfolder)

Hey, is there a way to edit the text in the start menu? IE changing the name of the 'Set program access and defaults' Icon to just "Program Defaults". Etc...

This is a good place for a tut on that as well. ;)

Hey.. really useful thread - thanks!

Just one question: I've noticed that quite a few people have what I can only describe as a skinned media player control in the Start Menu toolbar. It's kind of like the one when you minimize WMP 10, but it seems that it can be skinned, and in most examples I've seen there's just a backward, play/pause and forward button.

I assume it's a control of some sort for WinAmp or iTunes etc. and I've searched the forum for it but I obviously seem to not be entering the right phrases because I haven't found anything.

An example of what I mean can be seen HERE (taken from the March '06 Desktop thread).

Any ideas? :)

Does anyone know the name of the file I need to edit to get my start menu to display the 'Set Program Defaults' line as 'Default Programs'?

Been looking for awhile now, and I can't seem to find it..........

Thanks, Frylock86
