Praise you for actually taking advantage of it. I think you are one of the first that didn't just disrespectfully post their problem in a seperate thread.

What I don't understand is why I can't use VS's... A couple of days ago it worked pressing enter @ downloaded VS-files... Now it doesn't. I am not gonna pay for it, and that Neowin-shit is unstable like hell... )=

:woot: Thanks for making this tutorial! Ive been searching for a way to change the look of my Windows XP system... for a long time now and finally I have all I really wanted!

This tutorial for the AveDesk was very easy to follow and I was able to expand to the other shortcuts and .exe items I wanted and the use of PNGs is awesome, Soon Ill be making some of my own PNG Icons and enjoying the heck out of it!

I also used the patch to use Visual Styles and man Im tickled! I made reffernce to this thread at anouther site I post on to pass the great info!

Only 1 question since the tut was so thuro... any links to some good sites for Icon Images? Or is a simple use whateve I want :D

Thankyou Sirs! :punk:

There are some links to icon sites in my tutorial about Docks. Give some of them a visit.

Aqua Structure sorry I went back threw and saw the links and felt foolish after seeing all the links you provided! I found simply searching google I found lots of resources for Icons.
I think I also like the idea of simply useing images from a background and making it to where the inlarge when the courser is over them. Would look sharp!

chopstick I think that this is what you want...

Desket/Add Desklet/PidlShortcut/MyComputer/Add Item

took me awhile to figure that one out also.

fugazi26 I was also wanting to learn more adout making them and I found this

there page

I havnt had time to try it but... Soon! :D

i was wondering how i could install this if i have window blinds. usually i just double click on the visual style and it goes to display properties and lets me set it as my visual style but since i've had window blinds it doesnt let me use anything except a window blinds theme. i already have the UXTheme patcher. i could use visual styles all up to the time i installed windows blind :(

Mike69 Select the classic skin in WindowBlinds. Keep the Ctrl key pressed and Go to Display Properties by right clicking on the desktop. Now you can see the MsStyles

Hook5620 The file is corrupted or you need to repair your XP installation
