Which free antivirus is the best and why?
I'm using Avast because of its low usage of RAM but some great features like its Sandbox mode isn't free anymore. What do you guys use?

I'm using Kaspersky right now but both Avast and BitDefender are good if you compare them with other free anti-virus software.

Uninstalled Avira a long time ago because of the nag screen and switched to Avast.

I'd suggest you to install Avast in your main PC and BitDefender in your family members PCs. It has minimalistic user interface and you won't even see any security alerts or nag screens. Just install and then forget about it.

What happened to AVG and Avira? They were the best antivirus 2 years ago.
