Another shocker: In November 2014, Windows XP had a 13.57 percent market share, but in December 2014, the share rose to 18.26 percent! It looks like some people are still interested in this 13 years old operating system which is full of security issues.

Windows XP users-base increased previously in the starting of 2014.

I have it installed as a partition on my Macbook ;)

Good for testing and building legacy stuff. For daily use, it's Mac OS X.

For those who want to install XP on some of the latest Mac OS X versions:

  • Startup bootcamp
  • Insert Windows 7 disc
  • Partition drive and follow initial setup
  • On reboot, hold down "alt" and eject Windows 7 disc and replace it with XP disc (might have to load your OS X installation to eject disc).
  • Run the XP disc and install. Do a quick format of NTFS on [BOOTCAMP] and use [BOOTCAMP] disk ONLY.
  • Get your XP drivers here -> http://digiex.net/do...d-10-5-6-a.html
  • Get Firefox and ClipX ;)

At first I thought most of the XP users were from China, but then I set the region to North America on statcounter.com and saw a 100% increase in XP userbase there! :o

What the heck just happened in America in December?

This thread makes me sad. As someone who (still) supports this garbage at work, I find this to be unnacceptable.
