Microsoft is thinking about allowing Android apps to run on both Windows and Windows Phone according to Verge's sources. Some people in Microsoft favor the idea of simply enabling Android apps inside its Windows and Windows Phone Stores, while others believe it could lead to the death of the Windows platform and lower user's interest in the Modern (Metro) apps.

Microsoft isn’t the first company that is considering Android apps in its mobile platform. BlackBerry did the same thing with BlackBerry 10, but still failed to attract the market.

This rumor holds no merit. Microsoft would be IDIOTIC to allow that. Unless they really hate their users that much, and really want to throw everything they've built up out the window.

So Google is bringing Windows apps to Chrome OS and Microsoft is bringing Google Play apps to Windows...it's awesome if it actually happens. :D
