Here's a shocker: In December 2013, Windows XP had a 28.98 percent market share, but in January 2014, the share rose to 29.23 percent! :o

I fail to understand why people are installing this 13-year old OS, or is it a tracking error by NetMarketShare?

Windows 7's market share dropped from 47.52 percent to 47.49 percent. Windows 8's share also fell from 6.89 percent in December to 6.63 percent in January because of Windows 8.1 free update. Windows 8.1's share rose from 3.60 percent to 3.95 percent.

They can stay on Windows XP for as long as they want. I just hope these people don't get attacked by new exploits and then blame Microsoft for it.

Maybe people got some these type of senseless figure in there mind.. Think like them if you don't understand them.. Think different.. :P

Ugh, not so sure about that.. July 15, 2015 is teh EOL 4 anti-malware support for Windows XP; no?!??

Anyway, Windows 7 is the lowest Windblow$ version that remains functional - IMO. :D

Refs. @

*err 'functional' - as, in: multi-core CPU support && a bunch of other stuff, too.

Edit: Although, teh Windows XP 64-bit edition is pretty cool! (Unsupported as of April 8, 2014)
