Well, a desktop is always connected to Internet so ChromeOS is more functional in desktop.

Considering you can buy an all in one PC with these specs:

Processor (CPU)

Intel® Core™i3 Dual Core Processor i3-3250T (3.0GHz) 3MB Cache

Memory (RAM)

2GB SAMSUNG 1333MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (1 x 2GB)

Graphics Card

Intel® HD Graphics 4000 Video Memory Technology up to 1.7GB

Memory - 1st Hard Disk

120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW)

Memory Card Reader

Integrated 4 in 1 Card Reader (SDXC/MMC/MS/XD)

Sound Card

ONBOARD 8 CHANNEL (7.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)

Wireless/Wired Networking

GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS INTEL® N-135 802.11N (150Mbps) + BLUETOOTH

USB Options

4 x USB 2.0 PORTS AS STANDARD

Which are basically what they are selling bar the CPU will be slightly faster but seeing as that build has 120GB SSD rather than 16GB iSSD it evens out to about the same price of:

£487.00 inc VAT and Delivery.

They need to be selling this at under 500 pounds UK sterling for it to be viable. Even then I don't see the selling point, you can build an awesome laptop for that price that would be far more useful.
