Support for Windows XP ends April 2014 but the number of its users doesn't seem to be declining in the proportion to please Microsoft. The company has released an infographic stating that "third-party anti-virus software alone can’t help ensure your data stays secure". Windows XP was released in 2001 and in these twelve years, hackers and the purpose of their hacking attempts have extensively changed.

I think XP users don't even care. It's a lost market. MS should forget about it or make Windows 8 free in China and other countries where people use XP. :P
