One of the best could based note taking applications Evernote has received over 100 improvements and enhancements with the version 5. The interface is now more modern and let you access the things you want more easily. The new search and discovery functions intelligently help you find what you’re looking for.

Reminders are three features wrapped into one. By clicking on the alarm clock, you’ll pin the selected note into the Reminder list at the top of the Note List, create a to-do item for that note and add alarms to make sure your notes are done on time.

Evernote is a great free service but you can't use any other note taking app once you start using Microsoft OneNote. :D

You can remove the useless items from the left sidebar now. I removed everything except for my notebooks. :)
