Microsoft has announced DirectX 11.2, which will be exclusive to Windows 8.1 and Xbox One. One of the new features touted is called “tiled resources”. This will allow video cards to use system ram to improve texture detail. The below video shows the technology on sequences involving up to nine gigs of visual data.

So you don't need to buy a GPU with 4 GB of video memory. Your 8 GB system RAM can store the "Ultra High Resolution Textures"? :D

I really think gaming is held back alot by software/coder skill. Take a look at The Last of Us running on 7 year old hardware and it looks better than most AAA PC games.

Mabey i was 100000% wrong, but I always that the generally Video Card RAM was faster then Mobo Ram?  Or is it that the GPU is generally faster then the CPU?  Because I know nothing of this, and I get confused easily...

This is true. But I still think using the system ram is a good idea espesially for games that need a crapload of it.
