An NVIDIA PhysX programmer Miles Macklin posted a cool water effect video running on an NVIDIA GTX 680 CPU in real time. His Position Based Fluids has been accepted for a presentation at the upcoming SIGGRAPH 2013 event.

Very cool, almost makes having a dedicated PhysX card worth it when it ends up in games

It definitely is incredibly impressive, but I did find the water a little bit too "jumpy" (like in the lighthouse scene with the rip tide).

There's something wrong with the gravity but I love the effects.
