Microsoft will stop offering technical support for Windows XP from April 8 next year, exactly one year from today. But is the world ready? According to data released by Net Applications, Windows XP is currently installed on more than 38 percent of the computers worldwide and remains the second most popular operating system for desktop PCs. Windows 7 became the most popular desktop OS in September last year.

Windows XP was launched on October 25, 2001, over 11 years ago. Now Microsoft has finally decided that from April 8, 2014, Windows XP will not get any update or support.

Windows XP will not get any update or support.

Most of the Windows XP copies currently installed on Chinese PCs are pirated in which Windows Update is already disabled. They don't need software updates!

Many of the poorer countries still use Windows XP and many schools and companies also still uses it. So no. Maybe in a few years...but, right now, no.
