The wait is over, finally a leaked build of Windows 8 "Blue" build 6.3.9364.0 has leaked online revealing many new features.

These include:

  • New re-sizable tiles (Small, Normal, Large).
  • A full featured Metro Control Panel.
  • The ability to run up to four Metro apps on screen at once.
  • The ability to run two metro apps split 50/50 on screen.
  • New personalization "side panel", featuring a hue slider for custom Metro colors.
  • New Productivity Metro apps (Calculator, Sound Recorder, Alarm Clock, Movie Moments).
  • Internet Explorer 11 with Tab Sync.

There is also a rumor that the old Start Menu code has finally been removed. Neowin users report that no Start Menu replacements are working.

I really want option to change start menu background as well.. Changing color option is good but doesn't worth unless we have change background images option

32bit only?

FAIL.

32 bits is only good for phones.. for now.    But as how this is a "leaked" tester... i guess it make sense.  No one with more then 4GB of RAM will ever use this daily as a dedicated install.... (that is,real hardware, not a VM)

Why they cannot release windows 8.1 or something for features like moving multiple metro apps, changing theme and syncing IE ! Why we have to wait for a new Windows Blue...

New features discovered:

A new Metro File Explorer.

Run Metro apps across multiple monitors simultaneously.

Automatic app updates.

This will be a huge, and welcome update.

This idea will probably not be supported MS because it will make the start screen less recognizable.

How does this all app scroll down function work with a mouse?

Further, nothing impressive, but better than nothing guess.

But atleast there should be background gallery same like we have themes gallery. I really don't like Start screen backrounds they have provided, they all looks like either chines or Indian or something else.. If they provied this option then I think it will worth something..

And I agree further more nothing impressive. :( .. Lets hope Milestone 2 have some potential to attract people..

I'm indian and none of the start screen patterns look indian to me. You either got your stereotypes wrong or are racist (which I hope you aren't).

Wow, multitasking re-invented, you dont have to have kind of infinite numbers of windows on the screen at once anymore! You can now have 4! i say again.. FOUR! apps running on the screen at once!

4 apps running on the screen at once is adequate. I have never seen anyone using that many apps at the same time even on large screens. It's crazy to keep your focus on 4 apps at once, unless you have a SuperBrain™ or something.
