Best Buy asked recent buyers of Windows 8 PCs how they felt about the new operating system, 74% of people who had bought a Windows 8 based tablet or touchscreen device said they liked the new OS “somewhat” or “very much.” About 53% of respondents who bought a conventional Windows 8 PC said they liked the operating system.

The Best Buy survey was conducted in December, and had a sample size of 6,246 people who bought a Windows 8 device at Best Buy through late November.

I love my Windows 8 laptop/  No touch though, and I use Desktop all the time. I call it "Windows 7+1".

I really wish Windows's trackpad responsiveness was as good as it's touchscreen responsiveness.

Windows 8 is very cool for touch users. On my laptop, I stick with Windows 7. No need for 8 when I'm just going to personally and professionally use the desktop anyway.

I'm still waiting on the Leap Motion. Then I will be one of those people using windows 8 through gesture control. :) (Instead of staying on windows 7)
