Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8 looks great and works very well but when you enable the Modern UI / Metro version of IE10, it looks completely different. I fail to understand the point of two different user interfaces when a single UI could be made which would work well for both touch-screen and mouse / keyboard users.

For example, check the Internet Explorer 11 concept made by danielskrzypon.

Actually, IE10 metro works fine with a keyboard and mouse as well. Sure, it's different, but I like my completely chromeless browsing  :D

So, I'm wondering how those tiny buttons up in the corner and the radio controls work well with touch? Not to mention Metro works over top of Win32 and not directly on it... IE10 Metro works well with a mouse, and it's what I'm using on my desktop currently.

Microsoft removed a lot of stuff from the desktop and moved it to Metro in Windows 8, I think you'll see that trend continue.

It looks fantastic, but once Microsoft adopts the same design, people will start ranting about it...

This is so true. Microsoft can't win, man.
