Microsoft has finally confirmed that Office 2013 and Office 365 will be unveiled on January 29. The company has launched a teaser website to confirm the release date.

Microsoft has also launched the #timeto365 hashtag to promote Office 365 on Twitter. Office 365 is a subscription-based service starting from $99 per year, which allows you to do a lot more things than the standard version of Office.

The starting price of the standard version of Office 365 is $139. Full pricing will be announced on January 29.

Whats better, paying $99 for installing Office 2013 in 5 PCs for an year;

Or paying $139 for installing Office 2013 in 1 PC for lifetime?

I'd prefer the second option. :D

Actually, google Office 2013 $11. Basically use your University address and click "Don't Know Your Program Code? Click Here".

I used this and it actually works.

Dude, LibreOffice. http://www.libreoffice.org/

Mmmmm has it stopped transforming office documents (word, excel, ppt) into crap every time it loads it? if so maybe its an option, else, don't bother.

I use word formatted documents, everytime i tried using Oo or Lo its the same result, the format is lost, the document becomes useless.

I know they are good options, but in their current form they are cool if you dont use other people's formats, alas, not my case
