The Windows RT Jailbreak community is now working on an unofficial App Store that will host all the recompiled apps for jailbroken Windows RT and the allow users to apply the hack to run the unsigned programs with just one click.

The early build of the App Store doesn't support the real-time updating at this point but developers promise to add new features in the near future.

How it all started?

Last week a hacker named Clrokr found a way to bypass the security check on Windows RT and ran unsigned desktop apps on Windows RT. A few days later, an XDA forums user Netham45 ported several apps to Windows RT, including PuTTy, TightVNC and BOCHS which allowed him to set up a virtual copy of Windows 95.

Microsoft's Reaction

When Microsoft first heard about the Jailbreak, a spokesperson "applauded the ingenuity of the folks who worked this out and the hard work they did to document it but later Microsoft hinted that they may develop an update to block the Jailbreak hack. Though the company also declared that the Jailbreak tool is safe.

What's the use when an update will disable the hack?

The Jailbreak tool will obviously stop the update to overwrite the patched files.
