48% of total WinMatrix visitors were Google Chrome users during the last month according to Google Analytics. Firefox remained at second place with 28% of total visits and Internet Explorer was at third place with 13.66% share.

I've noticed that WinMatrix members praise Opera for being "the most innovative browser" but unexpectedly Safari, which is discussed the least on the site, registered more visits as compared to Opera.

These stats are totally different from Net Application's Browser Market Share where Internet Explorer is still at the top with 54.76%. WinMatrix visitors are technology enthusiastic and their interest in Chrome and Firefox is obvious.

Probably Safari on OSX, which is quite good.

Well yes, it's #1 worldwide, but we're talking about a tech site. Sure we get visitors and stuff; but why would people visiting a tech site use IE? This honestly blew my mind, especially since the next browser down is way behind IE with respect to %.

I'm one of the Safari users as well. The scrolling is so ridiculously smooth on Mountain Lion, plus it loads pages just as fast as Chrome. Its got the best retina scaling as well (of course, as it's built in). Chrome wins on Windows, though.

Interesting but I wonder if it's because WinMatrix users are a bit more savvy than the average Internet user? We still see IE as the most popular in terms of our browser themes, but we have a wide range of demographics of users. I would imagine the WinMatrix users are a bit more savvy and can see Chrome being the most popular.
