;) Check this case out, my brother has this same case, and it's awesome! :woot: The pictures don't do it justice, it is a great looking case, especially at night. It runs very cool and it's a solid built case. This is the A-Top XBlade Blue/Silver Gaming Machine. I don't know if you've thought about it or not, you should build it yourself. Unless you've already given those people the cash to build it. I noticed you're thinking about going with an AMD processor, ever thought about going with a P4? I had an AMD chip and switched over to a 3.0 ghz Northwood with hyperthreaded technology. That case is $61.00, and you can get a P4 Prescott with 1MB L2cache for $181.00. An Aopen AX4C MaxII motherboard, for $143 with RealTek 6ch audio. An Aopen Nvidia 6600Gt Video Card for $205. A Western Digital 160GB IDE hard drive for $85.50. OCZ Performance Series Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3500 memory for $198.50. And Microsoft XP Home Edition with SP2 for $92.50. That get's you an awesomely fast gaming system that will smoke any of the Alienware PC's for a whole lot less cash. In fact it's a grand total of $966.50!! :woot: You can find all these parts at NewEgg Hope this is helpful for ya' ;) I would check at OfficeMax for a DVD burner, they usually have great deals on them. One thing to think about before you jump on the Dual-Layer DVD burner craze though, the blank duals are gonna run you, at the least I've found them, around $7 to $10.

Thanks TheKingOdysseus, but i have reached the point in my life where i no longer care to open up the PC and tweak the crap outta it, or even build myself a new one..

I am going with the AMD 64 bit processor for a reason, due to the windows XP 64 bit version, and i will probally be running longhorn on it at some point in time.

all i am going to use this machine for is compiling VB apps, and mabey do a bit of Everquest on it. Mabey some EQ 2.

so no, i dont need a speed demon, just a good 2.something amd should do, althought to tell you the truth, a 3.something would be nice, but i am working on a fixed budget of no more than $1500.

 I kept the total under a grand, and NewEgg has a sweet deal on a 16X DVD RW for $69. So that would put it over a grand by about $30. But, to each his own. As far as the AMD 64bit goes, my brother had the AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2.2 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Socket 939 Processor He said it gave him problems in Linux. So he switched to theIntel Pentium 4/ 3.2E GHz 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology He seems to think the Intel is faster, but you know what they say about opinions.... ;) Anyway, good luck with your pc.....
