As you know Windows Media Center won't be included in Windows 8 operating system which allows Windows users to watch and record live TV. You will have to buy this add-on for your OS separately. But you can take advantage of a special offer and for a limited time, get Windows 8 Media Center Pack for free.

To receive a free product key and get Windows 8 Media Center Pack, provide a valid email address in the space provided here. Once you receive your free product key through the email address you provided, follow the instructions for adding Windows 8 Media Center Pack that appear later on this page.

The offer is available from October 26 to January 31, 2013. Only one key will be sent for each email address.

Thanks, I hope I will be able to activate the key later. I don't want to install Media Center right now unnecessarily.

  • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search).
  • Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
  • Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.
  • Then tap or click I already have a product key.
  • Enter the product key, and then click Next.
  • Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features.
Just select "already have a product key" and enter the code.

You're not in the right window. Follow what RickSOLET wrote above.

Do you have Windows 8 Pro? You should have a window that looks like this:

It only works on Pro. Have you tried requesting a new key/made sure it was typed in correctly?
