Microsoft announced its plans to roll out one of the largest advertising campaigns ever for Windows 8 a few weeks ago. The company decided to go for a variety of indie bands across the globe, not because they would be cheaper, but because it "wanted to bring the viewer on a journey of discovery." Overall, 42 countries will be part of the Windows 8 advertising campaign.
