Microsoft has been quiet about its Internet Explorer plans for Windows 7, but now the it's confirmed that IE10 for Windows 7 is in development. Microsoft will release a preview version of IE10 for Windows 7 in November 2012, with final availability to follow as the company collects developer and customer feedback.

IE10 on Windows 7 has the same standards based platform for developers to target as IE10 on Windows 8. The browser brings improved real-world site performance and additional standards support to Windows 7 that Web developers have been asking for.

I want this more than Windows 8. Not trying to be mean or anything. I'm sticking with 7 until something better comes along.

I don't use this browser but IE10 for Windows 7 is necessary for following the new web standards.
