Microsoft updating built-in Windows 8 apps before the launch

Microsoft is going to update its built-in Windows 8 apps in the coming weeks, ahead of its official debut on October 26th.

"We've been busy since August adding new features and improving the apps that come with Windows and will be updating these apps before general availability," Microsoft's Steven Sinofsky wrote to the first new post to the Building Windows 8 Blog in a month. "We'll introduce new features, improve performance, and increase reliability."

Here are the updates you can expect over the next three weeks or so:

To be honest, I like only bing travels app (or how it called there), it has nice photos :rolleyes:
All other modern apps are useless for me. Really.

Windows 8 is useless for me. It decreases productivty for me.
I am better off with Win 7 until support ends.

If you use a touch screen, then Metro is more productive then traditional Windows 7 desktop. If you use mouse / keyboard, you can switch to classic desktop anytime.
