I installed Windows 8 in Virtual Box and it installed in only 10 minutes.

I have a 7200 RPM HDD. Anyone here tested the installation time in an SSD?

Windows 7 installs on my pc in about 6 and half minutes. That's from a flash drive though.

Yeah, I go from flash drive to SSD and it takes around 5 minutes or so.

AMD Phenom II Quad core here, standard hdd (factory), 8GB Ram, install time from a flash USB2 device was about 10 minutes.
So yes, the install is faster.
