NVIDIA has released new WHQL-certified driver for Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista systems. This is the first WHQL-certified driver for Windows 8. The new driver has support for new GPUs, driver performance upgrades in various games and a couple of bug fixes.

The drivers add support for NVIDIA TXAA, a new “film-style anti-aliasing technique” introduced alongside the latest Kepler GPUs. Example performance boost using the new drivers with a GeForce GTX 680:

Quick Topic Highjack,... Please don't shoot me...

What Videocard should i buy if i have to choose between Ati HD6870, HD7770 or an Nvidia card (uh GTX 650??)

I'm building a i7 3770k with 16gb mem. won't be using dual videocard(-ing)...
I want to play some games, won't do 3d rendering or such.

There a so many different thoughts about it on other fora that i normally don't visit.
that's why i'm asking it on my favorite forum.

I've always had Nvidia and read that Nvidia is better, please help! :D

Ati 6870 is much better then 7770 but if you want Nvidia equivalent you need to pay more.
Its up to you.
If you are using PC games you don't need 16gb nor i7. 6gb and i5 will do the justice

Something like 7850 or 7870 depends on the price. And if you wants Nvidia gtx 670 but I think that is more expensive but also much more powerful.

ah, so with the ati cards it's the 6/7 series and then 3 digits for the type of the card... that's why a 6870 is better then a 7770, i'm probably going for a 7850. The gtx 670 is to expensive (for me). thanks for the advice!

Simple: ATI drivers suck and are never updated. Nvidia drivers are more comprehensive, install without fail (most of the time) and are frequently updated with meaningful performance gains. The (mostly) hassle free software and better support with nvidia is worth the extra money anyday

HD 7850 = €184.70
HD 7870 = €230.20
GTX 670 = €354.40

If i buy a Radeon 7870 and it becomes outdated (for the things i do) i can buy a new one since i saved a lot of money.
The Nvidia costs 50% more then the Ati.. i find it a lot of money.

As i said before, i always had (XFX & Asus) Nvidia cards and have always been very satisfied with it, but it seems Ati has 'grown' since it got bought by Amd.

Or am i still getting it wrong and the GTX 670 and HD 7870 are not to be compared...
