Pokki is a free software that brings awesome apps and games to your desktop. You can place your Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, and other web services right into your Windows taskbar! It can also add useful widgets like RSS Headlines, weather app, ebay notifications etc. There's even an app store for Pokki with hundreds of Pokki widgets.

Pokki has now left beta and received a major update, making it better than ever. An OS X version is also on the way.

I've been looking for something like this for some time. I enjoy it very much and I am telling all my friends about it.

I love pokki, but it bogs down my startup time by a considerable amount.
