Facebook has rolled out its App Center to worldwide which was previously available for the US users only. Facebook App Center is like the Apple App Store or the Google Play store, but for Facebook.

The news came from Facebook PR representative's tweet.

When browsing the Facebook App Center, you'll see canvas, mobile, and Web apps. If it's just a Web app, you'll be able to use it right then and there. If you're on your Android or iOS device and find an app you want, however, you'll be able to click through and install it from the Apple App Store or Google Play store.

I didn't even know it was rolled out to the US. It's too late though, a majority of people I know and myself included are ditching facebook slowly. Someone surprise me and show me this is actually a rare useful facebook feature

So who would be the explicit competitor to this?

Chrome Webstore? I think Facebook is running their store focusing on a limited group of users.

But for the developers' view, this is a good place to launch too.

It's a paradise for the developers. Some companies like Zynga are totally depended on Facebook.
