These Windows 8 desktop concepts have been made by Mark Grgurev (myownfriend on Deviantart). He likes Windows 8 but still can't get used to using Metro and Desktop Apps at the same time. These "Metro" concepts show his ideas for how the interface should be used.

More concept screenshots are here on myownfriend's gallery!

If this happens to be real Win8. I would definitely change my mind and instantly shift to Win8..
Awesome Mockups.
Just hope that those Microsoft Guys look at these and implement it..
Seeing as the Windows 8 RTM is being signed and finalized this week, I don't see that happening.

As much as I like Metro (In some areas), it's just not for desktop use. Upgrading my software isn't going to give my laptop touch functionality.

This kind of refinement is (for MS) an afterthought instead of what it should be: a starting point.
So dont get your hopes up...
We will get this

MS must be run by retards (sorry for the strong words, but they drive me nuts)

Looks great, but MS sucks balls when UI consistency is concerned.

Actually no, Microsoft got rid of Aero so no more transparency anywhere.

Actually yes, Microsoft is keeping the taskbar transparent. It simply no longer has Aero blur.

i'd like to see you do better.

Anyway, the flat UI in that screenshot doesn't look bad at all.
I could give them some tips
But it is typical of MS to come up with something good and then failing to implement it fully.
Metro is a good idea, but MS implementation has me worrying, just like a lot of other users.
