The July 2012 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer is now available via Windows Update. This security update resolves two privately reported vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer. The vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer. An attacker who successfully exploited any of these vulnerabilities could gain the same user rights as the current user. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights. This security update is rated Critical for Internet Explorer 9 on Windows clients and Moderate for Internet Explorer 9 on Windows servers.

If you have enabled automatic updating then you do not need to take any action. If you haven't, then launch Windows Update from the start menu.

What good is a preview having the features other browsers support? CSS3 is a big problem with IE. Today at the office we wanted to do some cool work with a new project we had in mind and IE was the only thing setting us back from using CSS3 animations.

JQuery can only do so much, but gets sluggish during certain animations.

The IE9 patch is now the part of the July 2012 security update and has bumped up the version number to 9.0.8 . The critical patch was first released outside of Microsoft's Tuesday patch cycle.
