If you use the Opera browser to create or edit a post on Google's Blogger service, here's what you see:

You cannot make those nagging messages go away. Any visit to a page in the Blogger content-editing interface results in this nag screen, and although you can dismiss the message, it will keep coming back until you finally decide that the headache isn't worth it and click the "try Google Chrome" link that Google has helpfully provided for you.

Ok. This is just wrong. Even more of a reason to support Opera and not Chrome. It's about options and choice.

Nope, many users are using Opera, but its userbase is so small that you never hear from many of them. But there is some people here on WinMatrix that is using Opera, including me. I am using Opera as my default browser.

Doesn't Opera support all the web standards?

Yes it does it now or atleast better with Opera 12.

Maybe.... Blogger did a silent update to it's service and it works with all browsers but Opera? I mean, if you go to blogger with Ie, wont you see the same message?

Dont assume that they hate Opera, assume they did an update that either Opera does not see or recognize, and as such, offers up the better web browser.

Yes, i use Chromium/Chrome. But yes, Opera, NOT Firefox, is my secondary web browser.

But yeah, you know, whatever, keep on hating the one company that is killing IE. no favors done there, none at all.

Chrome is not killing IE at all. It's actually pushing Microsoft to make IE better.

Opera will be Chrome's direct competitor. Of course Google won't support it.

I use Opera as my primary browser and it's amazingly fast for low end PCs.

Opera is my primary browser too. It drives like a luxury sports car. Blazingly fast and stable. I do use Chrome when I am posting to my Blogger blog. Other than that, none of the other browsers do as well for my purposes.

It's just a browser which doesn't support some specific things. Stop being batman!
