Google has released the first version of Chrome designed for Windows 8 Metro UI. The app currently doesn't follow any of Microsoft's Metro UI design guidelines, instead opting to display the traditional chrome browser in a full-screen window.

The app is bundled with the traditional Chrome desktop app, and requires you to set it as the default browser before it will work.

Head over to Chrome Dev channel and install the latest release.

Give it a break, it's just an alpha!
