Does anyone know when Windows 8 Release Preview will expire and will I be able to retrieve my data after the expiry date? I'm planning to upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 8 Release Preview. Is there any risk?

Can I upgrade to the final version of Windows 8 later?
Can I downgrade to Windows 7 later?

Can I downgrade to Windows 7 later?

This is a flat-out no.

If you are aware of expiry date,

I suggest you try installing on VMWare or VirtualBox instead.

It's better for testing purpose by far. :o

or you can just install it on a second partition and delete the windows 8 folders from win7 if you don't need it anymore...

I just found out that the expiry date is 15 Jan 2013. It's a long time!

I'm going to install it on my main PC. :D
