So Stardock is now switching from trialwares to limited-featured free versions. It's a good start IMO. :)

Actually WindowFX has been offering advanced animations since WindowFX 2 on Windows XP including wobbly windows. Here is an article from 2002 about WindowFX 2 including a link to a video that still works of WindowFX doing animations on XP.

As the lead developer I naturally have a bias, but I believe that without taking anything away from the Nini Visuals author, it is fair to say the animations including Wobbly Windows (Classic WindowFX style and Compiz style) in WindowFX 5 on Windows 7 are in a different league to the ones in Nini Visuals. Why not try it out and see?

Yeah, as Neil said WFX pre-dates Nimi by years.

Anyways, there's several demo videos here if you want to see it more in action.

I like all the effects, and it's nice to see the lead developer himself reply in the forums. :)

All this stuff was cool 5 years ago, but now it's not cool anymore. For me, less effects is better.

Apparently it was my first post even though I registered in 2008!

I am glad you like the effects.

Tataarujin: Thats ok, everyone has different tastes. The wonderful thing about the Windows platform is there is room for people who like effects and those who do not. Please don't dismiss the product out of hand though as it also offers more productivity oriented features which might appeal more to you. The flashy stuff makes better videos though...
