Hello Winmatrix!

I'm proud to announce the release of Omnimo 5.0 here too :)

Key features in the new version

Windows 8 Panels and Sidebar
If you use Omnimo to simulate Windows 8 then you're in luck. We added a bunch of Windows 8 styled Panels and a Sidebar, similar but quite different from the one in Windows 8. The Panels, depending on which theme you pick, will be 120px in the win8 theme, but you can resize them one by one or all of them from the settings.

Usability improvements
Now the gallery arrow is a menu that allows you to access the main galleries quickly. We also added Settings that allow you to change some of the core configuration in Omnimo. Improvements were made to the Style gallery as well. You can change the fonts of pretty much everything from there. One cool feature that was added is that you can close EVERYTHING on middle-click. Not just the panels, but also the config windows, galleries and apps!

Panel Creator
We had the Panel Creator before, but this time it's included in Omnimo and with more features. You can create 3 types of Panels - normal, Windows 8 and large icon versions. A convenient gallery is provided to save and manage your created panels.

Hubs and Kiosk Apps

Those are still quite experimental, but Hubs and Kiosk apps work in a similar fashion as the Windows 8 apps do. Basically a fullscreen website or a config. Make sure to check out Angry Birds and Cut the Rope from the Kiosk Apps gallery.

Bug fixes and performance improvements

Thanks to Xyrfo's insanely awesome omnimo tester script, we managed to find and fix hundreds if not thousands of consistency issues. Performance was also improved by adding updatedividers to panels which update in real time. The code is super clean and pretty now, everything is done by the books.

We included a way to save most of your variables and settings during the install, so if you have Omnimo 4.1 or earlier, your settings should be preserved. However you should make a backup of the WP7 folder just in case, if you have made any larger personal modifications.

Great job Fedia! I have been a big fan of Omnimo since the Metro UI was announced. :)

I must say this is better than the Windows 8 tiles. Highly customizable!

I have Omnimo installed on my family PC. Rainmeter is the only widget platform I use now.

In some way, it is kind of sad that I much prefer Omnimo to the actual windows 8 metro start. However it is so incredibly obvious that Omnimo is a better UI, while feeling less than a skin than Metro start.

Thank you guys :)
And yes, it works on Windows 8. Some people are using Omnimo with it, even.
